During the month of May, artist Lishan Chang was onsite producing and installing an exhibition in the Everist gallery featuring his concept, "LC Bakery." Charred baguettes are the basic building blocks for all works produced by the artist’s working studio, the LC Bakery. The baguettes receive a new identity in the hands of the artist, which he calls BLACKERY, a play on the blackened surface of the baguettes as well as an anagram of LC Bakery. The installation will include thousands of "blackery" as well as large format photographs and a scent and sound gallery.
