Classes for Young Adults
Music and theatre opportunities with world-class musicians and artists, working with researchers from Sanford, letting your creativity fly at Open Studio and giving back with volunteer opportunities … there are so many great ways for teens to get involved in all the Washington Pavilion has to offer!
Dakota Academy of Performing Arts
The Dakota Academy of Performing Arts (DAPA) is the place where youth can develop their talents and explore their passion for the arts in DAPA's Theatre and Chamber Music programs. Classes, rehearsals, recitals and performances challenge youth to play hard!
Sanford Promise Program
Curious about what it’s like to be a laboratory scientist? The Sanford Promise Camps are a unique opportunity for middle and high school aged students sponsored by Sanford Research and the Washington Pavilion. Students engage in life science research by performing hands-on laboratory activities based on authentic scientific questions led by actual scientists.
Open Clay Studio
Open Clay Studio is offered Sundays from 1 - 4 p.m. in the Rogers Clay Studio in the Visual Arts Center. Participants can pay a daily rate or save by purchasing a four session package.
Participants must be adults and teens ages 15 and older, and have completed a Washington Pavilion pottery class or have ceramics experience.
Youth volunteers are very important to the Pavilion. Share your talents as an assistant instructor in our classes and camps for younger students, as a backstage assistant for one of our youth productions, or in our outreach efforts around the community. Call Volunteer Services at 605-367-7397 extension 2375 or contact us for more information.
