Sioux Falls, SD — Spend Sioux Falls School District in-service days playing and learning at the Washington Pavilion. No School STEAM Days offer an enriching day camp environment for students kindergarten through 5th grade, and the first opportunity to participate is Tuesday, October 15. This year, each No School STEAM Day will focus on a different age group and center around different subject matters related to STEAM—science, technology, engineering, art and math. It’s a great way to keep learning and having fun on a day off from school!
“Our No School STEAM Days are designed to spark curiosity and keep young minds engaged with enriching activities on their days away from the classroom,” says Madelyn Grogan, Director of Museums and Education for Washington Pavilion Management, Inc. “We’re thrilled to continue offering students opportunities to explore the incredible world of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics in a fun and unique setting.”
At $35 a student, this is a great, affordable learning opportunity. The hours are from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., and activities on October 15 will include exploring the science of flight in the Kirby Science Discovery Center with hands-on activities related to aeronautics, including drones, rockets and airplanes.
The Washington Pavilion will offer four No School STEAM Days this school year:
• October 15, 2024: 4th and 5th Grade Students, Science
• January 10, 2025: Kindergarten and 1st Grade Students, Technology
• February 3, 2025: 2nd and 3rd Grade Students, Engineering
• March 14, 2025: 2nd and 3rd Grade Students, Art
Sign your child up today for the No School STEAM Day on October 15. Register online at WashingtonPavilion.org/STEAM or stop by the Washington Pavilion Box Office at 301 S. Main Ave. If this opportunity is a financial burden, inquire about scholarships the Washington Pavilion provides.
