Today the Washington Pavilion, in partnership with sponsor Sanford Health, announced plans and presented visual concepts for Health Quest by Sanford, an entire floor of all new health and wellness focused exhibits in the Kirby Science Discovery Center.
The interactive exhibits are themed in health sciences and wellness, allowing patrons to learn about and explore topics such as anatomy, research, genetics, emergency care and medical occupations. The floor will have a dedicated infant and toddler space, designed to encourage movement and providing visual, auditory, cognitive and tactile stimulation. The new Health Quest exhibits will complement the Fit Zone, also on the fourth floor of the Kirby Science Discovery Center and sponsored by Sanford Health.
“We are very excited about this entire floor full of new fun and engaging exhibits,” said Darrin Smith, Washington Pavilion President & CEO. “The space will be completely transformed into a whole new environment our patrons will enjoy again and again. We are grateful to Sanford for their support of these new exhibits; they have been a tremendous partner to the Pavilion and a great advocate for us and our growing community.”
“Sanford Health believes in investing in education in the communities we serve,” said Stacy Wrightsman, director of public affairs for Sanford Health. “Expanding our relationship with the Washington Pavilion is a great way to inspire children to learn more about health and wellness.”
Renovations and construction will begin in late February and continue through April. The exhibits are being produced by M. Catton and Co, LLC. The new Health Quest by Sanford exhibition is expected to open in early May 2018.
