Make Your Debut!
Are you an emerging artist ready for your moment in the spotlight? Breakthrough ’25 , presented by Sioux Falls Stage and Gallery, will feature Sioux Falls’ rising talent in the Everist Gallery at the Washington Pavilion from September 20 – November 30, 2025. This is your chance to have your work displayed in South Dakota’s largest art museum — and connect with the local arts community in a meaningful way.
If you live within 10 miles of Sioux Falls, have never had a solo exhibition in the Pavilion’s Visual Arts Center, and create work suitable for all ages, we want to see your art! Entry is free and open to all artistic mediums.
How It Works
- Check Eligibility – Live within 10 miles of Sioux Falls, never had a solo exhibition in the Pavilion’s Visual Arts Center, one piece per artist, any medium, suitable for all ages.
- Prepare Your Piece – Artwork must be ready to install (wires or hanging hardware attached), no larger than 50”x50” and under 75 lbs.
- Deliver Your Artwork – Bring your piece to the Visual Arts Center front desk (2nd Floor North) at the Washington Pavilion on one of the designated drop-off Fridays: Aug. 15, 22, 29; Sept. 5; or Sept. 12 (final day), between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Be Part of the Exhibition – Selected works will be on display Sept. 20 – Nov. 30, 2025 in the Everist Gallery.
- Celebrate With Us – Thursday, Oct. 9: Artist reception, adjudication, live entertainment and cash prizes.
