Live & Local Returns With New Format

Applications Now Open for Season 3

Sioux Falls, SD (06/26/2025) The Washington Pavilion is now accepting applications for Season 3 of Live & Local, a performance series that shines a spotlight on the incredible talent within our Sioux Falls arts community. This year’s series features a new structure, offering just four Friday night performances, each one showcasing a single local artist or group on the historic Orpheum Theater stage.

Live & Local celebrates a wide range of performers, from musicians and dancers to actors, storytellers and beyond. With a focus on quality over quantity, this season invites artists to take full creative ownership of their night, supported by professional production and venue staff.

“This series is all about uplifting local voices and giving them the platform they deserve,” says Bob Wendland, Assistant Director of Performances at the Washington Pavilion. “By dedicating an entire evening to one artist or group, we’re creating space for deeper connection between performers and the community.”

Each selected artist or group will be paid for their performance and receive support from Washington Pavilion staff. Prospective performers eager to showcase their talents can find more information and the application at WashingtonPavilion.org/App. Applications are due by July 31. Stay tuned for the announcement of next season’s full lineup later this summer!
