Grupp Art Academy

The Grupp Art Academy now offers six unique four-week sessions, each dedicated to a different artistic medium such as drawing, painting, ceramics, and more. Generously funded by the Carl A. Grupp Charitable Fund, students can focus intensively on a single discipline or combine sessions to explore multiple creative paths. This flexible structure is designed to fit around busy high school schedules while allowing young artists to tailor their experience to their personal interests. Along the way, participants will learn from skilled instructors and connect with local artists and the broader arts community in a supportive, inspiring environment.

Bring your inner spirit animal to life! In this sculpture class, you’ll build a 3D creature using wire, newspaper, and papier-mâché, then finish it with bold paint and details. Each mask-like form becomes a personal expression of identity, imagination, and creativity; a messy, hands-on project where every student walks away with their own powerful animal creation.

Dates: April 7, 14, 21, 28

Thumnail for Mixed Media
