Through Plays for Living, theatre students in Spotlight Theatre Company perform in the community as a means of educating students and community members. Plays are designed to provoke conversation and raise awareness and communication around sensitive social issues. To book a play at your school/business/organization, contact us!

Plays for Living 2025–2026 Season

• Through Plays for Living, Spotlight Theatre Company students perform in the community as a means of educating students and community members. Plays are designed to provoke conversation and raise awareness and communication around sensitive social issues.
• Students may utilize performance hours toward community service requirements for National Honor Society.
The 2025-2026 season of plays is already cast – look for audition information for the 2026-2027 season this coming March!

Join Us for An Evening with Plays for Living

Experience these powerful short plays performed by local students in the Belbas Theater at the Washington Pavilion. Admission is free and all are welcome!

  • 7 p.m. – Survivors (7th Grade)
  • 7:30 p.m. – Devon’s Hurt (2nd Grade)
  • 8 p.m. – What’s the Difference? (4th–5th Grades)
  • 8:30 p.m. – ¿Cuál Es La Diferencia? (4th–5th Grades)
  • 7:00 p.m. – A New Norm (3rd Grade)
  • 7:30 p.m. – Monster in the Mirror (4th–5th Grades)

Productions

A performance for young audiences about coping with hurt feelings. “Devon’s Hurt.”

A new musical (based on the book by Tom Roberts) about coping with anxiety, depression, grief, anger, doubt, shame, fear and more – and provides encouragement that there is hope and help is available.
