Upcoming Auditions 

Now accepting auditions for PLAYS FOR LIVING THEATRE COMPANY 2021-22, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM and THE ADDAMS FAMILY! Audition video and form MUST be submitted NO LATER than Tuesday, May 11 at 9 p.m. Casting will be communicated (via the email address you provide on the form) by Saturday, May 15.   • Ages 14-18 may audition
  • Rehearsals/Camp Dates: May 31-June 4 and June 7-11 (2 weeks – Monday through Friday), 1-4 p.m.
  • Performances: June 11 at 7 p.m. and June 12 at 7 p.m.
  • Tuition Fee: $175 (Pavilion Members)/$195 (Non-Members)**
  • Location of Camp and Performances: Augustana University
  • Shakespeare’s beloved comedy captivates with the intertwined stories of six bumbling actors; four love-struck teenagers; one royal wedding and the infinite magical realm of the fairies.
  • Ages 14-18 may audition
  • Rehearsals/Camp Dates: July 19-23 and July 26-30 (2 weeks – Monday through Friday), 1-6 p.m.
  • Performances: July 30 at 7 p.m. and July 31 at 2 & 7 p.m.
  • Tuition Fee: $270 (Pavilion Members)/$300 (Non-Members)**    
  • Location of Camp and Performances: Augustana University
  • THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
  • Ages 13-18 may audition
  • Tuition Fee: $72.90 (Pavilion Members)/$81 (Non-Members)**
  • Rehearsals and performances take place toward the end of the summer and throughout the school year. 
  • Through the Plays for Living Theatre Company, theatre students at DAPA at the Washington Pavilion perform in the community as a means of educating students and community members. Plays are designed to provoke conversation and raise awareness and communication around sensitive social issues.

**Scholarships and Open Door Pricing are available for qualifying students

Audition Checklist: 

  • Review the Audition Form and audition requirements for each program
  • Select an audition song and/or monologue
  • Practice your selection(s)
  • Review the COVID-19 Safety Precautions (PDF)
  • Record your audition using our FlipGrid or another video platform of your choice! The video should include your student introducing them self, singing the audition song and/or reading their monologue selection. 
  • Finally - fill out the Audition Google Form
    • Be sure to include ALL known conflicts for the rehearsals. 
    • When the form is complete, be sure to click SUBMIT and that you receive the confirmation message.
    • Audition forms and videos are due no later than Tuesday, May 11 at 9 p.m.
