Wild About Science Sioux Falls is a family-friendly winter science series that brings live animals and hands-on learning to the Kirby Science Discovery Center. Offered one Saturday each month from November through March, the series is presented in collaboration with the Great Plains Zoo and Butterfly House & Aquarium.
Designed for curious kids and their grown-ups, Wild About Science Sioux Falls combines interactive science activities with live animal encounters led by expert educators. Each session explores a new theme, giving families a fresh reason to visit throughout the winter months.
February Theme: Mammals
February’s Wild About Science Sioux Falls session focuses on mammals of all shapes and sizes. Families will meet live animals and take part in engaging activities guided by educators from the Great Plains Zoo and Butterfly House & Aquarium.
From furry favorites to fascinating facts, this session offers an up-close look at mammals while encouraging curiosity, questions and discovery.
