Exhibit at the Visual Arts Center

The Visual Arts Center Exhibition Selection Committee welcomes proposals from individual artists, artist groups and guest curators working in any medium or subject matter. With eight spacious galleries and ongoing planning for future exhibitions, the Visual Arts Center offers opportunities for both professional and emerging artists.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING YOUR PROPOSAL

There is no deadline for proposals. The Exhibition Selection Committee reviews proposals on a quarterly basis. Please be aware that it may take some time for your submission to be scheduled for review. Email all submission materials to museums@washingtonpavilion.org

Please include:

  • COVER LETTER – Include a summary of your artistic interests and pursuits with a clear statement of your exhibition intention. Please include which galleries you would prioritize. This letter should reflect your background and experience.
  • CV – Include name, address, email address, phone number and website. List education history, exhibition history and relevant awards and scholarships received.
  • ARTIST BIOGRAPHY – Include basic biographical information.
  • ARTIST STATEMENT – Include an artist statement relevant to the proposed body of work.
  • HIGH RESOLUTION DIGITAL IMAGES – 300 dpi. 10-20 images. Email or file sharing service. Include title or identifying information for each image.

GALLERY 301

Located at the entrance of the Visual Arts Center, this gallery welcomes visitors with two Dale Chihuly-inspired, hand-blown light fixtures and frequently features photography exhibitions.

JERSTAD GALLERY

1,700 sq. ft.
Showcasing leading regional, national and international artists in a variety of media.

EGGER GALLERY

1,200 sq. ft.
Showcasing traditional and contemporary artwork by Northern Plains Tribal Artists including work from the Visual Arts Center Permanent Collection.

BATES TRIMBLE GALLERY

1,500 sq. ft.
Featuring traditional artwork reflecting the Heartland.

SHULTZ GALLERY

400 sq. ft.
Featuring artwork by emerging regional artists.

UNIVERSITY GALLERY

740 sq. ft.
Showcasing artwork by faculty and students from regional institutions.

EVERIST GALLERY

5,000 sq. ft.
Featuring artwork in all media from established regional to international artists.

CONTEMPORARY GALLERY

700 sq. ft.
Showcasing contemporary digital, installation and new media artwork.
