What To Bring

Review helpful guidelines so you know what to pack and what to leave home.

Prepare for a fun, enriching and hassle-free experience at the Washington Pavilion! Here’s a quick guide on what to bring:

For Exploring the Museums

  • Curiosity and Creativity: Get ready to immerse yourself in the wonders of art and science!
  • Comfortable Footwear: There’s plenty to explore across our galleries, exhibits and interactive spaces.
  • A Camera or Smartphone: Capture memorable moments, but remember that flash photography is not allowed in certain areas.
  • A Towel or Change of Clothes: Our science center features a hands-on, splash-friendly water exhibit. You may get a little wet, so we recommend coming prepared.

For Enjoying Performances

  • Tickets: Whether digital or printed, have your tickets ready for entry.
  • A Sweater or Light Jacket: Our theaters are climate-controlled and can feel cool during performances.

General Essentials

  • Water Bottle: Stay hydrated with a reusable bottle — refill stations are available on-site.
  • E-Membership Card: If you’re a Washington Pavilion member, bring your digital card for admission.
  • Your Cashless Payment Method: Grab a bite or browse our gift shop at The WP Café or consider adding on a Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium show.

Things to Leave at Home

  • Large Bags or Backpacks: For the safety of exhibits and guests, large bags are discouraged. A coat check is available.
  • Outside Food and Beverages: Enjoy our on-site dining options instead.

Bring your excitement and enjoy all the Washington Pavilion has to offer!
