The Evolution of Spotlight
Spotlight began as the Dakota Academy of Performing Arts, a longtime home for youth theatre education in the Sioux Falls community. In 2024, the program became Spotlight Theatre Company, a name that better reflected its commitment to helping young artists ages 6–18 build skills, gain confidence and find where they belong.
Today, that legacy continues through Spotlight Washington Pavilion, bringing Spotlight Theatre Company and Spotlight Voice Academy together under one umbrella. This next chapter creates even more opportunities for artists to learn, grow and find their place in the spotlight.
