Sioux Falls, SD — The Washington Pavilion is gearing up for an exciting month for the Kirby Science Discovery Center and Visual Arts Center museums. From a buy one, get one free admission special to Free First Friday and great daily programming, a ton of family-friendly fun is here for you.

Throughout the month of September, the Washington Pavilion is running a BOGO—buy one, get one FREE promotion on museum admission. Bring a friend and let their admittance be on the Washington Pavilion. The offer is available only in person at the Washington Pavilion Box Office.

Join us on Friday, September 2, for Free First Friday! Admission is free from 5 to 8 p.m. The Kirby Science Discovery Center and Visual Arts Center also will be open regular hours on Labor Day, Monday, September 5. Come celebrate the holiday with us!

There is something new to discover every day at the Washington Pavilion. Our daily programming schedule includes science demonstrations at Avera Stage Science, Tinker Tuesdays in Jack’s Imagination Lab and Friday Crafternoons in Raven Children’s Studio. Parents and educators interested in promoting STEAM—science, technology, engineering, art and math—will find plenty of opportunities for learning moments throughout the museums—and tons of fun, too. Plus, several new exhibits in the Visual Arts Center mean there is something for everyone.

“We have so many exciting things happening in our museums this September,” said Brandon Hanson, Director of Museums at the Washington Pavilion. “School may be back in session, but we aren’t slowing down. We want to continue to provide excellent exhibits and interactive activities and programming to our guests year-round.”
